Workout Sites

For those of you who like to bike and/or run, I have a found a great site that allows you to map those routes.

Run specific www.mapmyrun.com

Bike specific www.mapmyride.com

A great web tool for helping you gauge your workouts is on Runner's World: http://www.runnersworld.com/cda/trainingcalculator/0,7169,s6-238-277-279-0-0-0-0-0,00.html

A great way to use this tool is to figure out how fast you want to run a race, put in that time for the distance. It will then show you paces at which to train to maximize your results. For example, I would like to run a sub-20 5k. When I put that time in, it tells me I should run my easy runs at an 8:15 pace (LSD's, etc) and speed train at a 5:43 pace.

One of these days I am going to post something theological.
